Melissa
Melissa is a Certified Voice Teacher, singer, and the owner of Meaningful Melodies. She is a graduate of Montclair State University's John J. Cali School of Music and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy with a concentration in Voice.
Melissa truly believes that everyone is musical and can embrace life through the joy of music. Her goal is to help her students sing any song with vocal ease and freedom. Her warm-ups and exercises are rooted in vocal science and crafted to each student’s needs. Together her and her students will work on developing healthy singing habits, strengthening and creating a more balanced voice, and ensuring singing is the meaningful and fun art it is meant to be!
From her early childhood to today, Melissa has lived a life surrounded by music. Her experiences in the classical, pop, musical theatre, and music therapy world have given Melissa the opportunity to work alongside some of the tri-state area's premier talent. Some of her most revered performances include venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Richardson Auditorium at Princeton University, and the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
Melissa has been teaching pop, musical theatre, and classical lessons since 2018. She is a multi-talented musician and teaches voice, piano, ukulele, and guitar lessons.
Melissa is truly about real, personal experiences, and is excited to share her knowledge and love of music with her students.

Olivia
VOICE & PIANO TEACHER
Olivia is a lifelong musician and singer, being classically trained in piano ages 3 to 13, and cello age 14 to present. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, and within the past year she started lessons with Melissa. Combined with her musical background, she will also draw on her studies as a speech-language pathology student to enhance vocal training. She’s super excited to be a part of the team, and is looking forward to continue learning and growing with her students!

Lis
VOICE, PIANO, & SONGWRITING TEACHER
Lisbelkis (Lis), a singer and teacher from New Jersey, has immersed herself in many musical avenues. Lis teaches Grades 1-8 General Music and was keys and vocals instructor at the School of Rock in Hoboken for 5 years. Her piano and vocal background consist of over ten years of experience. Her educational experience includes Montclair State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and recent completion of her Master's Degree in Music Education at Adams State University.
Lis has always had a passion for music and imparting that passion to others. In addition to teaching, Lis continues to pursue opportunities to make music with others through choral singing, performing in operatic and musical theater productions, and playing in orchestral/pits for productions.

Jason
GUITAR & BASS TEACHER
Jason is currently a senior studying Music Recording and Production at Montclair State University. He works locally as an Assistant Recording Engineer and a Live Sound Assistant. He is very passionate about writing and performing music with his band and producing music for other artists. Jason is excited to create lasting relationships with his students and to hopefully inspire a love of music by sharing his knowledge in a personable way.

Dominic
VOICE TEACHER
Dominic is a college student and dedicated musician and performer. Having been in love with music of all kinds his entire life, Dominic has studied the voice more than any other topic for years. Having been in dozens of musicals, plays, choirs, and competitions, Dominic is well versed in the world of music and performance.
With a strong attention to detail and a deep compassion to learn and help others around him grow, Dominic strives to help everyone he teaches be the best they can be, using everyone’s individual strengths to bolster themselves.

Jenna
STUDENT VOICE TEACHER
Jenna is a junior at Sparta High School and is eager to pursue a BFA in college and deepen her passion for music and theatre. With a love for singing, playing instruments, and performing, Jenna thrives on the creative and healing power of music. She actively hones her craft through singing competitions, musicals, NYC showcases, and various classes in acting, dancing, and singing. Some shows she has been apart of include Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Wizard Of Oz (Glinda), Beauty and The Beast (Silly Girl), Mean Girls (Mrs. George), and more!
Known for her versatility, she embraces the collaborative spirit of theatre and delights in engaging and inspiring audiences. Jenna is excited to continue learning and growing while sharing her love for music and its ability to bring joy to others.

Geoff
GUITAR & VOICE TEACHER
Geoff Doubleday is a multi instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. He’s been playing guitar since the age of three and professionally since thirteen. He performs regularly all over the country as a solo artist and with his band, Doubleday. Music and performing are lifelong passions of his and he is excited to bring his knowledge and craft to others.

Tyler
DJ & EMCEE TEACHER
Tyler graduated Montclair State University with Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Trumpet. While at MSU, Tyler was trained in the fields of audio engineering and music production. Tyler is the owner and operator of Treble & Bass Productions, a flourishing DJ and entertainment company. As someone who has been around live music and big productions, he is very well versed in the world of sound. He looks forward to incorporating these skills into Meaningful Melodies.
